In distillation, glass thermocouple adapters are used to hold a thermocouple in place inside a distilling head.

The LS thermocouple adapter can be paired with a 1/8th-inch diameter, PFA-coated thermocouple, and it should be used in conjunction with a temperature monitor or temperature controller.
